Hill fog.
The combination of low pressure across Scotland and some sunshine may spark off the odd shower across the Lake District National Park.
Weather:
Cloud mainly above the summits, but clouds may bubble up in the sunshine causing the odd shower.
Visibility:
Good, but poor in any hill fog.
Cloud Base:
500 to 900m in any showers, otherwise well above the summits.
Wind and Temperature at 900m:
Southwest 10 backing southeast 20mph. 8 to 10C.
Freezing Level:
Well above the summits.
Weather:
Widespread hill fog with outbreaks of heavy rain through the morning. Clouds breaking up during the afternoon with the odd shower developing.
Visibility / Cloud Base:
Moderate or poor in rain and hill fog, otherwise good or very good. Broken 500 to 900m with patches down to 300m becoming well broken through the afternoon.
Wind / Temperature / Freezing Level:
East or southeast 30mph veering south or southeast 20mph / 8 to 10C / Well above the summits.
Showers or longer spells of rain with a small chance of thunder. Clouds well down on the summits. Freezing level well above the summits.
