Graduated from Lancaster University in 1995 with a BSc in Geography. Joined Mid Suffolk District Council and then ENCAMS (then Tidy Britain Group) and has been with the organisation for 10 years. Currently Senior Regional Director – North, commissioning and facilitating strategic solutions for clients and working in partnership with other organisations on a range of challenges to tackle local environmental quality and anti social behaviour.

Appointed as a Housing and Liveability Neighbourhood Renewal Advisor to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister in 2001. Also gained a Diploma in Management - specialising in Knowledge Management and Staff Retention - and Corporate Membership for the Chartered Institute of Wastes Management of which she sits on the North West Centre Council.

Outside of work has been awarded a Level 2 Royal Yacht Association Sailing qualification, enjoys amateur dramatics, digital photography, travelling and playing guitar in a local church group.
