LDNPA Lake Activities And Services Questionnaire
Winter 2006/2007

Over the next three years, we are working towards developing access and recreational opportunities for lakes, rivers and the coast in the National Park. We need your help to find out what lake services you currently use, what activities you take part in, what services you might expect and whether you would be willing to pay towards those services.

We are involving Windermere lake users in reviewing the Registration byelaws and scheme. We have extended this work to Coniston Water, Derwentwater and Ullswater as they have a Public Right of Navigation on them.

We are particularly reviewing Windermere Registration byelaw 10, which allows exemptions for powered vessels registered with the Small Ships Register. Powered craft registered on Windermere can either continue to register with the National Park Authority or they can join the Small Ships Register.

Please send us your comments by 9 February 2007.
