Introductory Talk
This presentation gives an introduction to the purpose of National Parks and the role of the Lake District National Park Authority.
The talk introduces some of the issues that arise due to the area's popularity, such as traffic congestion, footpath erosion and local housing needs. It provides evidence of how pressures are managed.
Students are given factsheets and recording sheets appropriate to their needs. Staff are provided with a master set of factsheets and a copy of the LDNPA Annual Report.
More specialised talks can be arranged but may incur a higher charge.
