Bowness: The Impact and Management of Tourism

Fellwalking in the Lake District National Park

Bowness is one of the main 'honeypots' in the Lake District National Park. This module looks at social, economic and environmental impacts of tourism on the area and the methods used to manage them. The full day module incorporates a study of both the town and Windermere lakeshore.

Either area can be studied independently as a half-day module.

Location: Bowness-on-Windermere

Duration: Full day (6 hours) or half day (2 hours and 30 mins)
