Keswick: A Town for Tourists?

Fellwalking in the Lake District National Park

Keswick is a popular settlement for contrasting locality and tourism studies. The module begins in the Moot Hall Information Centre, where pupils are encouraged to look at how tourism has affected the town. Fieldwork enables children to explore at first-hand, discovering if it is a 'town for tourists' by surveying the streets and lakeshore of Derwentwater.

Location: Keswick
