Understanding the National Park

Discovery Walks - Langdale Walk

Fellwalking in the Lake District National Park

These full day walks have been designed to encourage pupils to discover the physical and human history of our spectacular landscape. The routes follow footpaths and bridleways, so be prepared for rough terrain.

The history of the landscape is brought to life through interactive activities including word poetry, map reading and role play.

Location: Langdale. Excellent activity if staying at a local Youth Hostel

Duration: Full day - 6 hours
