We are currently reviewing all our planning policies - probably the most fundamental review in half a century.
We are providing advice and information on local needs to the North West Regional Assembly, who are creating the Regional Spatial Strategy to replace the Structure Plan.
This will provide the overarching policies for economic development, housing, transport and tourism for the whole of the North West of England. There may also be some policies which only relate to the Lake District National Park.
