Ideas
- Boots: You don't have to stick to circular routes! Take the Shuttle and stroll over Claife Heights or walk the shores of Coniston Water. For a tour of spectacular Tarn Hows, get off the bus at High Cross and take the footpath north for 3/4 mile, passing Wharton Tarn on the way.
- Bikes: Bike racks on the bus between Bowness and Grizedale, and on both Cross-Shuttle boats will help you on your way.
- Boats: Want to relax? Take a gentle ride on one of our traditional wooden launches - the scenery is breathtaking!
- Bus: You can start from any of the stops shown. We've highlighted some of the easier cycling and walking routes in the area on our leaflet, together with bike hire outlets and places to visit.
