Don't ruffle your feathers - take the bus!
The Osprey Bus links Keswick with a round Bassenthwaite Lake public transport route taking in Whinlatter and the Dodd Wood viewpoint of the ospreys.
- Runs Saturday and Sunday 12 April to 20 July 2008, then daily until 31 August 2008
- Extra days 5 May and 26 to 30 May 2008
- Six daily lake circuits, taking alternate anticlockwise and clockwise routes
- Early direct service from Keswick to Whinlatter.

Osprey Viewpoint
The Lake District Osprey Project Viewpoint at the Forestry Commission’s Dodd Wood gives open-air viewing of the birds and will be staffed until the end of Wednesday 31 August. It is located, 3 miles north of Keswick, off the A591 The Viewpoint is open all daylight hours. Between 10 am and 5 pm, the osprey project information team are on hand with telescopes for visitors to use.
The Osprey Bus is part of the Bassenthwaite Reflections Programme (opens in new window), supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
