Memorials and donations
We receive many enquiries every year for memorial benches, trees and plaques but sadly we cannot satisfy every request.
Landscape Fund
We have however set up a Landscape Fund to fund work to enhance and maintain the National Park. This will include work such as adding new stiles, repairs to older ones, tree planting and bridge repairs.
Over 12 million visitors come to the Lake District each year. The landscape is under pressure from changes in farming practice, demands for new development and the sheer impact of people and traffic. Much change is good - this is a living and working place. But we cannot always look after what is most precious in the landscape without added financial support.
Our Landscape Fund adds to the money we attract from central government and other public funds. It is funded entirely by donations from organisations and individuals.
If you would like to make a donation please send a cheque marked for the Landscape Fund, made payable to the Lake District National Park Authority to:

Donate online to Fix the Fells
Ugly scarred paths spoil the view for everyone - walkers, climbers and sightseers alike. With 12 million visitors a year it is literally an uphill battle to stop path erosion.
We are part of the Fix the Fells project repairing and maintaining paths throughout the National Park. You can donate online at Fix the Fells (opens in new window)
