Local Development Framework
In July 2006, the consultants Jacobs were commissioned to develop a Strategic Flood Risk Assessment for the Lake District National Park. It was carried out to:
- collate all known sources of flooding
- identify areas that have a low, medium and high probability of flooding
- recommend appropriate land uses within flood affected areas
- recommend possible flood mitigation solutions
