Type 1: Process documents
explaining what, how, when and why?
- Statement of Community Involvement - final version - explains how you can get involved. This was adopted June 2006.
- Piecing the jigsaw together: Local Development Scheme (March 2007) - this timetable and list of documents was adopted March 2007 and is reviewed annually

Type 2: Development documents
policies, plans, maps and guidance
- Core strategies
- Generic development policies - to be developed up to November 2009
- Site specific policies and allocations for housing - to be developed up to November 2009
- Proposals maps
- Area action plans - to be developed up to November 2009
- Supplementary Planning Documents - such as Demonstrating Housing Need in the National Park - final version and Cumbria Wind Energy
