Opening times
- Gardens, adventure playground and grounds open all year from dawn to dusk.
- House, cafe and shop open daily from 14 February - 27 March 2009 10am - 4.30pm
- Then from 28 March - 1 November 2009 open daily: 10am - 5pm

- Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. Only assistance dogs are allowed in the cafe.
- There are plans to develop Brockhole into a 21st century visitor attraction - read about Brockhole's future.

By rail The nearest station is Windermere (2 miles) where you can then take a bus link outside the station.
By bus Services 555 and 559 stop outside the gates

By road From the M6, exit at Junction 36 and follow the A590 and A591 to Windermere and Ambleside. The Lake District Visitor Centre is approximately half way between Windermere and Ambleside on the west side of the A591 and is well signposted
