Blencathra Centre offers residential facilities and tutor led courses for schools. It's run by the Field Studies Council in partnership with the Lake District National Park Authority. It is enormously popular with schools from primary to AS/A2.

Only a few minutes from Keswick and 15 minutes from Junction M40 of the M6, Blencathra Centre occupies a spectacular position overlooking St Johns in the Vale.

Flexibility is one of the keys to Blencathra's success. You can stay for a single night or up to a full week and start your course on the day that best meets your needs. The Centre is also able to offer fully catered or self-catering options.

To help make the most of learning opportunities, Blencathra Centre has 7 full-time teaching staff, able to offer a wide range of tutor led courses or advice and support for those that want to lead their own. Whether for the National Curriculum, GCSE or AS/A2, the Centre has sites and activities of the highest quality. Subjects include science, biology, geography, geology and history, as well as environmental art, adventurous activities and education for sustainable development.
